Here are some files that we have either collected and haven't seen elsewhere on the 'Net, or have written ourselves.  This page was longer but a lot of the stuff was out of date and has been removed.

• How to Solder! Soldering is a critical skill: it ain't rocket science but it's got to be right. There are lots of good tutorials on the Internet,  this reprinted one   hosted by Electronix Express covers it quickly.
• A file explaining the protocol for communication with a PC mouse

• How to get Printed Circuit Boards manufactured by the EE Shop. For UN-L students and staff only.
  
• An ASCII art document to show how to build a simple FM wireless microphone. A similar project is on-line here, but someone else makes these comments about it.
• Article on how to make an Acoustic Guitar Pickup from electret condenser mike elements. A whole web page on using these elements is here .

• MS-DOS Program to let you use your sound card as a frequency analyzer on your PC.
  
• Your basic ASCII/decimal/octal/hex chart.
• A .ZIPped file containing a huge number of IC pinouts drawn in IBM ASCII characters. A great resource, with a pretty juvenile name given by it's author.
• Recent projects have involved putting raw data such as audio samples into EPROMs. To do this, you probably need this Binary-to-IntelHex Conversion utility. (Set browser to download to disk.)
• Explanation of IntelHex Format .
• This page used to have a bunch of local files about interfacing to a variety of PC peripherals and devices.   Much better info can be found instead at the Hardware Book.
