I am a hand surgeon with great interest and expertise in the medical
problems of the performing instrumentalist. I am a professor at
Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and was trained in General Surgery,
Plastic & Reconstructive, Maxillofacial, and Hand Surgery at Harvard Medical
School and Johns Hopkins. I am most interested in RSI, focal dystonias,
peripheral neuropathies, and traumatic injuries to the musician. I am also a
musician myself.
