Patient Recommendation
Having just found your site via a reference on the RSI-UK site, I thought you may like to know of another UK doctor to add to your list. He has just got me back to normal after suffering a diffuse RSI caused by Spinal Dysfunction due to poor postures at work (I am a Sonographer working full-time for the NHS). Details are as follows:
Dr. Grahame Brown Consultant in Musculoskeletal and Sports and Fitness Medicine NHS work: The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital (The Woodlands) Northfield Birmingham England Private work: Birmingham Nuffield Somerset Road Edgbaston Birmingham England
I have recommended him to several of my fellow sufferers; 2 have already seen him and agree entirely re. his knowledge of this subject.

My local hospital, UHW Cardiff, has physios who're trained in TOS and
the physios I've seen there have been really good.

Try Ainsley Moden. She's based in Chiswick.

She's lovely and really knows her stuff,
Cheers
Patient Recommendation
Try speaking to Leith Brown at the Harley Street Pain Clinic:
http://www.theharleystreetpainclinic.com/about.htm
He helped me hugely in a few sessions.
Patient Recommendation
Forget doctors, you're wasting your time there.
If you're anywhere near London, then go here.

Ask for Bronwyn, she certainly knows her stuff, treated me a while back with good results, and was responsible for pointing me in the direction of the 'It's Not Carpal Tunnel Syndrome' book that everyone reckons is the RSI bible.

In the UK (which sometimes tries to pretend it isn't in Europe), Dr
R.M. Pearson is an acknowledged expert sympathetic to RSI cases; he's
been an expert witness in several RSI cases in the courts, typically
on the side of the sufferer.
phone +44 171 4365961 (Harley Street)
He also practices at Harold Wood hospital (Romford, N.E. London) on
the NHS.
Patient Recommendation
For acute symptoms I went to Leith Brown, a Manipulation Physiotherapist, 30
Weymouth Street, (020) 7636 3433, 10 minutes' walk from Oxford Circus. He
was terrific, particularly for the acute symptoms. Please note that
Manipulation Physiotherapy is very different to other kinds of physiotherapy
I've experienced, and is to be distinguished from manipulatIVE
physiotherapy. The most noticeable difference, for me, was how gentle and
subtle it is, and how incredibly effective. I was out of severe pain after
my first session, and securely out of it after a few more. Along with
several other physios (I've moved around a lot) he recommended the Alexander
Technique to continue the process he had started.
(in regard to Alexander instructors,) I'd really recommend Delia Rosenboom (0208) 943 9341, in Teddington, who I know personally. You could also try: - Mary Jane Ashford at the Bloomsbury Alexander Centre (0171) 358 0534, Bristol House, 80A Southampton Row, WC1B 4BB - Sean Carey (020) 7749 7246, Alexander Teaching Centre, Rivington Business Centre, 82 Great Eastern Street - The Lansdowne Road teachers in Holland Park (020 7727 7222). Alternatively, take a look at the STAT website to find the teacher nearest you: http://www.stat.org.uk.
Everyone knows I am an avid advocate for Hellerwork, which I feel is the
finest form of bodywork in the world. Of course, I am biased as I have
been a practitioner for eighteen years, full time. I'd like to suggest
that you contact Roger Golten while you are in London. He is a very senior
Hellerwork practitioner and is very talented. You can visit his website at
www.golten.co.uk or call him at 44-207-723-5676 or 44-07956-514-522
(mobile). He'll take very good care of you. Tell him Sharon says "Hi!".
